Lime Crime, a make-up company from California that boasts about their make-up being vegan and cruelty free, has just released a new color for their lipstick line. Scandal, a delicious plum matte, was added to the Velvetine line for $20.00 on January 10, 2017.
The company, with over 2.6 million Instagram followers, suggests that the look is for women looking for a punk rock look. Doe Deere, the Lime Crime CEO, stated that she loves to combine this new lipstick with Trip Diamond Crusher to bring out the new lipstick’s violet undertones. She also suggests wearing a lip balm for fifteen minutes before applying Scandal, or any other lip matte, to produce the best pout. As this color adds power to the wearer thanks to its royal and punk rocker look, the wearer will definitely feel like a boss. You can currently buy Scandal on any major retailer website including Love-Makeup, and UrbanOutfitters.
The lipstick is one of many that are made to focus on letting the wearer express themselves, other than cover up their flaws. This is the main idea behind all of the makeup that Lime Crime creates and sells, as they hope to allow make-up wearers to wear innovative products that allow them to express themselves and have more freedom with what they wear. Following the release of Eclipse and Raisin Hell, this new color is a perfect addition to the lipstick line that Lime Crime has created. It’s dark, dramatic, and appealing color will be sure to leave every wearer feeling a sense of empowerment.
